One of my favorite, electrifying concert clips is of Shania Twain singing “That Don’t Impress Me Much” at Chicago’s Grant Park in 2003.

Jim Rohn, a motivational speaker from the ‘70s and ‘80s, was famous for saying: “Why not you? Why not now?” Although I hadn’t heard of Jim Rohn at the time, these are nearly the identical words I thought as I wrote my first song.

‍I know that big-name artists are pulling their music off of Spotify due to the payment model (which is pocket change for most artists), but for me, Spotify has been monumental in connecting my music with listeners around the world.
